A good friend of mine told me about this costume that he was working on over the summer, and asked me if I would be his "Saya."  To his horror, I never saw Blood+, but I told him I would consider watching it and let him know if I could do the costume or not.  He told me how epic it was going to turn out, so I was pretty excited that he asked ME of all people to partner up with him.  That week, my computer went on the fritz, and I couldn't play warcraft (haha!), so I decided to give Blood+ a shot since I love vampires and action and all of that good stuff.  I was immediately hooked!  I told him I would work on the costume right away!  I ended up buying the shirt and skirt.  I used my "Gendo Ikari" shoes (lol) and made the bow.  The sword came in with all the wrong colors, so I had to add a new color fabric and add the teal detailing.  I styled the wig and got some make-up together, and in a few short weeks, I had my Saya complete!
